The Allen-Bradley 1336F-LA2 analog interface board is an option for Allen Bradley 1336 Plus II series adjustable frequency alternating current (AC) drives. Typically abbreviated to VFD, or AFD, this device can work without an option, however a few status and input/output signals can be used. Furthermore, this AFD can also work with analog I/O options and provide an additional analog interface for application control and PLC programmer can use it efficiently.
The 1336 Plus II drives come with 2 option slots known as Slot A and Slot B and the optional analog interface boards can be installed in either Slot A or Slot B depending on the board type. All of the option board connections are made at the terminal block known as TB2 which is located under the host drives main control board. This terminal block allows easy installation. The board has jumper connectors J9 and J10 on the board surface for connection with terminal block TB2.
Each of the boards' jumper connector has 4 connectors that must be connected to the terminal block for it to be active. For proper wiring at the terminal block, the minimum and maximum wire size should be between 0.39 and 2.1 millimeters (14 to 22 AWG). It depends from the application which one of 2 galvanic isolated analog inputs will be used. This device has a rated voltage of 0 to 10 volts, as well as a rated current of 0 to 20 milliamperes. The board supports multiple drive mounting configurations, and it has an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.
