The Allen-Bradley designed 2098-DSD-HV030 is an Ultra3000 digital high-performance servo drive. The drive's bus capacitance is 470 microfarads, and its internal shunt resistance is 120 ohms. It communicates using the SERCOS protocol. It has an approximate weight of 18.8 pounds. The SERCOS connects the servo drive to the ControlLogix platform through the SERCOS interface. Additionally, it supports DeviceNet networking. This device is powered via an alternating current (AC) input voltage of 230 to 480 volts rms, three-phase. Additionally, the AC input frequency required for this device ranges from 47 to 63 hertz (Hz). The output current of the 2098-DSD-HV030 when operating continuously, from zero to peak, is 7 amperes, while the intermittent output current from zero to peak is 14 amperes. 

This servo motor drive features solid-state motor overload safety and a thermal memory algorithm that forecasts the motor's operating temperature. It is available with optional accessories such as breakout boards located on the drive, breakout boards positioned on the panel, shunt units, AC line filters, and outside auxiliary encoders. Eight (8) configurable general-purpose inputs and four-choice general-purpose outputs comprise the 2098-DSD-HV030 Ultra3000 digital servo drive. This drive may be utilized in conjunction with a PLC, a PC-based movement controller, or a stand-alone motion controller. It is compatible with a broad range of Allen-Bradley servo motors, including those in the MP series with medium inertia, food-grade motors, stainless steel-made motors, and the TL series with low inertia. Its digital speed and current control loops ensure steady operation in applications requiring precise velocity control.
