The PowerFlex 70 adjustable frequency AC drive 20AD8P0A0AYNNNC0 has a voltage rating of 480 Volts AC 3-phase (6 pulse). The normal duty rating at 480 Volts, 50 Hertz input is 8 Amperes and power rating is 3.7 Kilowatts (5 horsepower). The module frame is size B and enclosure is panel mount rated IP20, NEMA/UL Type 1. The drive does not have any interfacing module or communication ports; documentation is the manual. It is equipped with IGBT brake. The control is enhanced and there is no feedback. The variable frequency drive makes use of volt per hertz type control for simpler fan and pump type applications and it can provide excellent torque and speed regulation using vector control with FORCETM technology without any encoder feedback. The sensorless vector control is used for high torque operation with large variation in speed and to adapt to individual motor characteristics. The drive has special features such as current limit and bus voltage regulation that improve acceleration and deceleration without nuisance tripping. Its droop control feature is ideal for load sharing applications and sleep/wake control for analog control of start and stop. The drive also works for batch processes by loading three different sets of parameter data as user sets. The inertia ride through feature enables tripless operation in case of power loss using the rotating energy stored in high-inertia and low friction loads. PI control is able to make separate process loop controllers obsolete. The module features a flying start that makes connection into rotating loads seamless.
