The 2711P-T7C4A9 is suited for applications that require visual monitoring, controlling, and displaying data, enabling operators to immediately evaluate the state of their system. The display module, logic module, and configurable communication module make up this terminal, enabling customizable setup, deployment, and updates.The terminal requires an AC power input range of 100 to 240 VAC and a 50 to 60 Hz working frequency spectrum. The display unit has a color active-matrix TFT display (thin-film transistors) with a display (diagonal) size of 6.5 inches, a screen resolution of 640 × 480 pixels, and an interactive display area of 5.2 x 3.9 inches. It also incorporates a touch screen interface that has an actuation rating of one million presses. The logic module has an Ethernet port for controller communication, two USB host ports for attaching external devices, and a serial RS-232 port for logic controller communications, printing, and program file transfers. The terminal has 512 MB RAM and 512 MB of non-volatile memory. The module also supports external SD cards. The 2711P-T7C4A9 has reset switches, status indicators, a real-time clock (which can be continuously backed by a lithium battery for a minimum of four years), and a single PCI slot. The logic module also has a network interface for the (add-on) optional communication modules, which boosts communication protocol options to DH+/DH-485, open industrial network protocol, and Ethernet Networks..The terminal's display screen has a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp-based backlight with a guaranteed life of 50,000 hours.
