The MPL-A320P-MJ22AA is a servo motor from the 200 VAC voltage class of MPL servo motors by Allen-Bradley. The inertia of 0.000078 kg m² is observed, which is quite low, and fits very well with the low-inertia series of this motor. According to the IEC metric standard, the frame size is 100 mm, or Frame size 3. To determine the rigidity of the stator, a 50.8 mm or 2-inch magnetic stack is present with a circular bayonet connector and keyed shaft. Since the shaft is keyed, there cannot be a frequent start/stop operation, and there are also no brakes in this motor. The motor runs at a rated speed of 4750 rpm, and it can achieve a maximum speed of 5000 rpm. According to the standard factory settings, the motor can also produce a continuous torque of 3.05 Nm at stall (0 speed), and a maximum of 7.91 Nm torque can be observed in a short duration. This motor also uses a Hiperface protocol which uses a minimum number of cables and saves on cost and space, and as a bonus, is very easy to implement. An absolute multi-turn encoder with 1024 turns sin/cos is used in the feedback system. All the above specifications are up to the standard factory options. The MPL-A320P-MJ22AA is IP50/IP66 rated, which means it is dust resistant to some extent but it should be kept in a dry environment and regular maintenance is mandatory. This brushless servo motor weighs about 3.7 kg or 8.0 lbs.
