The Allen Bradley MPL-A420P-MJ24AA comes from the AC 200 V series but the important specification about this product is that it comes with higher torque and a 24 V direct current brake. The brakes are really useful in a servo motor as they hold the load on the drive when the power cuts off. This makes the servo motor more secure from damage.  Low inertia and high torques are also prominent specifications in this series This product has an inertia of 0.00026 kg m² and a maximum torque of 10.2 Nm with a continuous torque of 4.74 Nm at the stall. The  MPL-A420P-MJ24AA has a rated power output of 2.0 kW.  The speed of 5000 RPM is also excellent with absolute multi-turn encoders with 1024 sin/cos. This encoder has a high accuracy and resolution and a Hiperface protocol for the feedback system is also active.  This minimizes the number of wires/cables inside the motor. For the servo motor to connect with other components, a circular bayonet connection is used. This servo motor can also be mounted using the free mountings holes present on the outer casing of the servo motor. The bayonet connection is facing the shaft which is keyed for more security. Although this shaft is not sealed. IEC metric can be used to determine that the Frame size 4 or 115mm. The magnetic stack is 50.8 mm or 2 inches. The servo motor weighs 4.3 kg or 9.4 lbs. with dust protection ratings of IP50 and IP66 at enclosers.
