The Allen Bradley MPL-A4540C-HJ72AA is a part of the 200 V alternating current series which is famous for its low inertia and high torque. This product has low inertia of 0.00052 kg m² and reaches a maximum torque of 27.1 Nm in a small amount of time and a continuous torque of 10.2 Nm at zero speed which is quite high. This motor according to the IEC metric, Frame size is 45 or 130 mm. The maximum speed of the motor is 1500 RPM with output power being 1.5 kW. This motor does have a longer magnetic stack which is 101.6 mm or 4 inches long. This motor also has a keyed shaft to ensure that the internal components of the motor stay on the inside but the shaft seal is not present. Hence this product is not waterproof but it is dustproof according to the IP50 and IP66 enclosure ratings. The motor should still be kept in a non-humid and well-ventilated environment with regular maintenance for optimal performance of the motor. Connecting other components with the motor requires a SpeedTech DIN connector which has a bend at the right angle in the cable and 180-degree flexibility to rotate. This motor is 8.6 kgs or 19 lbs. in weight. The feedback system involves a Hiperface protocol that reduces the unnecessary cable and also reduces the size of the motor. There is a 2000 line per revolution of an incremental encoder available to measure the speed of the motor. The factory standard settings are used throughout this motor.
