MPL-B220T-VJ72AA by Allen Bradley is a brush-less high-output with low inertia and high torque servo motor belonging to the alternating current 400 V voltage class. This motor has IEC standard Frame Size 2 or 75 mm with 2 inches or 50.8 mm magnetic stack placed in the motor. This motor also has IP50 and IP66 rated enclosures which makes it hard for the dust to get inside the motor. Although moisture and humidity can seep through these enclosures because the shaft is unsealed and cause damages. The motor should be operated in a cool and dry place that is well-ventilated so moisture does not build up inside the motor. A 0.000039 kg m² inertia with 6000 RPM peak speed, a peak of 4.74 Nm torque acquired in a small time period, and a continuous 1.61 Nm torque at the stall are just some of the standard factory design specifications. Connecting components with the motor requires a cable connection and in the case of this motor, a SpeedTech circular cable can be used. This is a 180-degree rotatable right-angled cable that is located near the shaft of the motor. The motor shaft is keyed to keep the circuitry secured and encapsulated. There are no brakes in this motor hence load values are erased as soon as the power is turned OFF. An absolute 128 multi-turn sin/cos encoder that uses a Hiperface protocol can be found. this protocol is the reason there are a limited number of necessary wires and including all the other factors as well, this motor only weighs 2.0 kg or 4.4 lbs.
