The MPL-B320P-MJ74AA is a servo motor manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This unit is included in the MP series of brushless low inertia motors. This unit has a voltage class of 400 volts with an operating voltage rating of 460 volts. The motor uses premium permanent magnets and is designed for high-performance applications. This motor features a magnetic stack length of 2 inches (50.8 millimeters). It also provides absolute feedback using a high-resolution encoder with a multi-turn design. The motor is capable of operating at speeds of up to 5000 rotations per minute. While a keyed shaft extension is provided, this model does not come with a pre-installed shaft seal. A shaft seal can be installed using an optional accessory kit with the part number MPL-SSN-A3B3. When mounted without a shaft seal, this unit has an ingress protection rating that depends on its mounting orientation. When mounted with the shaft up, the motor has an ingress rating of IP50. The ingress rating is IP53 when mounted with the shaft down, and the ingress rating for horizontal mounting is IP51. This motor features a circular SpeedTec DIN connector that can be rotated through 180 degrees and is designed as a quick connecting right angle connector. An integrated brake is also provided with this motor and is designed to operate at 24 volts DC. This motor comes with standard options from the factory. It is mounted with the help of a mounting flange that is designed to meet IEC metric specifications. It uses type FF free mounting holes.
