About

The MPL-B430P-MJ24AA from Allen Bradley is an AC synchronous PM servo motor. It is appropriate for applications requiring precisely measured torque, speed, or position. This device utilizes permanent magnets mounted on a rotor with a stack length that measures three (3) inches. It is classified as IEC 60072-1 rotating machinery with mounting flange, having a frame size of 115 millimeters. Its power requirements are in line to the high voltage class, ranging from 30 to 1000 volts of type alternating current (also known as class B), having an operating voltage of 400 volts in which the voltage requirement is dependent on armature winding. A multi-turn encoder is used within this motor and is used to determine the position of the stator with reference to the rotor position whenever the motor is powered on for optimum torque control. It employs a brake mechanism and to release this brake, a direct current power supply of 24 volts is needed.
