The Allen-Bradley MPL-B430P-SJ72AA, which is a member of the Kinetix MP series of products, is a brushless servo motor with low-inertia and high torque output. This motor has a rated output power of 2.94 Hp (horsepower), the rotor inertia is 0.0033 lb-in-sec2, and the peak stall torque is one hundred and seventy-five (175) lb-in. The frame size is 4.5 inches and the rated speed is five thousand (5000) rpm, or revolutions per minute. The feedback that comes from motor drive to drive controller is enabled using high-resolution encoder (1024 Sin/Cos) so we can make precision closed loop motion control. The main thing with motor control are 2 points – the first is to chose the right motor type and output power and the second is to adjust motor drive with motor rotational load in order not to stall, vibrating or does not work at all. The feedback from motor drive can very precisely determine the position of motor shaft. With this motor it is easy to control many loads because of its high torque. It can be connected to Kinetix drive and then controlled by ControlLogix controller, of course, compatibility must be provided. The network capability enables remote control and monitoring. Usually this motor is used in industrial high performance robotics applications. The MPL-B430P-SJ72AA must work in specified environmental conditions in order to provide the long lasting. The range of the operating temperature is thirty-two to one hundred and four (32 to 104) degrees Fahrenheit and the storage temperature should be from fourteen to one hundred and eighty-five (14 to 185) degrees Fahrenheit.
