The Allen Bradley MP series, MPL-B430P-SJ74AA, high output, low inertia brushless servo motor use unique design characteristics to reduce the motor size while nevertheless providing significantly more torque. It is a synchronous motor and features 400V-class windings. The MPL-B430P-SJ74AA requires an alternating current, and its winding voltage has an AC rating. Instead of the rotor winding, it has strong permanent magnets to generate a magnetic field, and its stack covers a total length of 3.00 inches. Due to this, this motor can achieve a speed of 5000 rpm ( revolutions / minute) while the size of the motor is relatively small. The module's frame is just 115 millimeters and the whole motor weight (including brake) is 16 lbs (pounds). But the dimensions of the frame match with the IEC 72-1 measurement, and this motor is a flat mounted type.
MPL-B430P-SJ74AA uses a traditional rotary encoder, a single-turn encoder, that delivers feedback for 360 degrees (one turn). It comes with a mechanical keyed shaft to provide good fitting. It has an electromechanical brake, which is DC operated (direct current). And, it needs 0.57 amperes to 0.704 amperes and 24 Volts DC. This brake is actually a holding brake. It is used to keep the load in place when the main power is dropped. Either servo drives are used to control it (through the automatic program), or operators can handle it by attaching an external supply. It has circular DIN contact connectors for all connections such as feedback, power supply, and brake.
