The Allen-Bradley 1747-L524 is an SLC 500 Processor Unit that provides 4096 discrete inputs and outputs. This SLC 5/02 processor has a memory of 4 kilobytes for instructions, battery-backed RAM, and an EEPROM backup memory to restore data in the case of memory failure. The device supports 480 analog points. The 1747-L524 draws a current of 350 milliamperes at a voltage of 5 Volts DC and a current of 105 milliamperes at a voltage of 24 Volts DC. This controller has an RS-232 port and supports the DH485 network protocol. The unit contains LED indicators to show power presence and communication status.
