The 1747-L542 is an SLC 500 SLC 5/04 modular processing unit manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It can handle 32 keywords, specifically 4 keywords for storage of data and 28 keywords for storage of programs and data. The 1747-L542 module has a backplane current of 1 ampere at 5 volts DC and a current of 175 milliamps at 24 volts DC. The module comes with RS-232 port and a DH+ port for communication purposes. It also has LED statuses that indicate CPU fault, low battery, run, RS-232, DH+, and forced I/O.
