The Allen-Bradley 1747-L551 processor is used for Allen-Bradley SLC 500 programmable controllers and supports addressing of 4096 I/O. This processor is supported by 60 different I/O modules including digital, analogue, and intelligent I/O. The 1747-L551 processor provides complex instructions set of 107 instructions, enhanced communications and faster scan times (0.9 milliseconds/K). Modular I/O systems that include the 1747-L551 processor can be configured with a maximum of three chassis (30 total slots) and from 4 I/O points to a maximum of 4096 discrete I/O points. This Allen-Bradley SLC 5/05 processor supports a maximum of 32 connections which can be used for either incoming or outgoing message allowing simultaneous communication with up to 64 other devices or applications. This processor provides a built-in 10/100Base-T Ethernet channel which operates at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps. The 1747-L551 processor contains an embedded web server which permits to view the module information and diagnostic reports via Ethernet using a standard web browser. The Allen-Bradley 1747-L551 processor includes a configurable serial port for RS-232 compatible serial communication to send and receive ASCII characters (such as ASCII terminals, bar code readers, and printers) and to connect to devices that communicate either through DF1 protocol, such as modems, communication modules, programming workstations, and other Encompass partner devices or through DH-485 protocol. The Ethernet connector of this processor conforms to ISO/IEC 8802-3 STD 802.3 and utilizes 10/100Base-T media. This processor supports shielded and non-shielded twisted-pair 10/100Base-T cables with RJ45 connectors. The 1747-L551 processor supports a maximum cable length between the Ethernet port and a 10/100Base-T port on an Ethernet hub (without repeaters or fibre) of 100 meters (323 ft). The Allen-Bradley 1747-L551 processor provides real-time clock/calendar and a user-configurable memory for either data storage or program storage which has a size of 16 kilo words. The Allen-Bradley 1747-L551 processor is used for applications which require both high-speed data transfer between information systems and/or a large number of controllers and internet/intranet connection. The Allen-Bradley 1747-L551 processor supports an input voltage rating of 5 volts DC and draws a maximum current of 1 ampere with a maximum power consumption of 4 watts. This processor can operate at a temperature range of 0 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius (32 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit).
