Allen Bradley 1747-L553 is an SLC 5/05 Processor manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation in the SLC 500 series. The processor is small and simple and has a variety of applications, including material handling, small process control, HVAC control, and much more. The 1747-L553 processor comes with a backplane current of 0 amperes at 24 volts DC and 1 ampere at 5 volts DC. It also features a maximum of 3 local input and output chassis with a maximum of 30 modules I/O slots in the local I/O chassis. The processor features total user memory of 64 keywords with 60 keywords specifically for data and programs while 4 keywords for data only. It also has a maximum of 4096 outputs, 4096 inputs, and 480 local analog input and output. The module has a program scan time of 0.9 milliseconds per keyword and 0.225 milliseconds input and output scan time. It has a PLC-5 processor-based advanced set of instructions. Allen Bradley 1747-L553 can either stand-alone or be distributed through the system for SCADA applications. Allen Bradley 1747-L553 uses RS-232 and Ethernet ports, which can be configured for connection to the 1761-NET-AIC converter for communication purposes. It also comes with a standard battery-backed Flash backup memory and RAM. The 1747-L553 processor offers a shorter bit-instruction execution time and 10/100 megabytes per second Ethernet port. The DH+ communication port is 3 times faster than the DH-485 port.
