The Allen-Bradley 1747-M2 is an EEPROM Memory Module that can be employed with SLC 5/01 and SLC 5/02 processors. This device provides a memory size of 4 Kilobytes with 4000 instruction words and 64000 user memory words. The memory draws a current of 1 Ampere at a voltage of 5 Volts DC and a current of 175 milliamperes at a voltage of 24 Volts DC. The 1747-M2 provides a scan time of 0.9 milliseconds and an I/O scan time of 0.225 milliseconds. This module offers three (3) I/O chassis and thirty (30) module slots. This device includes both Ethernet and RS-232 ports for network communication. The memory module has also a flash backup memory to restore data in the case of memory failure.
The 1747-M2 has a plastic housing to protect and prevent the internal circuitry from corrosion and humidity. This module is sensitive to ESD. The memory module can be employed in many applications to save, store, and access system data by compatible processors.
