The Allen-Bradley 1756-ENET is a Controllogix Ethernet Communication Module that provides an Ethernet port. This device can be installed at any slot of the ControlLogix chassis. The 1756-ENET includes an open enclosure. The unit dissipates a power of 3.7 Watts and a thermal power of 12.6 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour. The device draws a backplane current of 700 milliamperes at a voltage of 5.1 Volts DC and 3 milliamperes at a voltage of 24 Volts DC. The 1756-ENET provides sixty-four (64) TCP/IP and 128 CIP Logix communication links. This module offers a communication rate of either 10 megabits per second or 100 megabits per second. The device can be employed with an unshielded RJ45 twisted-pair wire connector to connect to a controller.
This unit supports a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5 percent to 95 percent and a vibration frequency range from 10 Hertz to 500 Hertz. The 1756-ENET can be stored in a safe environment that shouldn’t be full of condensation or corrosion at a temperature from -40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).
