The 1756-IF6I is an AC Digital Input module manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the 1756 Analog Modules product line. It features has 16 isolated inputs, per point isolation, and can be configured to change state as well as input filter times. The module is compatible with 1756 ControlLogix chassis and required 1756-TBS6H or 1756-TBCH 36-pin detachable terminal block housing (RTB) for connection to the chassis. The Allen-Bradley 1756-IM16I module has a voltage range of 159 – 265 volts AC, with 250 milliamps maximum inrush current as well as a voltage category of 240 volts AC at a frequency of 50/60 hertz. The module features a backplane current of 3 milliamps at 24 volts and 100 milliamps at 5 volts, with an all-out backplane power of 0.58 watts. This module comes with a maximum power dissipation of 5.8 watts at 60 Degrees Celsius with a thermal dissipation of 19.78 BTU/hr.
Allen-Bradley 1756-IM16I Digital Input module comes with the screw to backplane input delay time when switching from off-state to on-state, and vice-versa. The hardware input delay time from 'off' to 'on' is ten milliseconds max and has a user-selectable input filter time at 1 or 2 milliseconds. From 'on' to 'off,' the hardware delay time is 8 millisecond (maximum), and the user-selectable input filter time is at 9 or 18 milliseconds. The 1756-IM16I module has a maximum current of 2,5 milliamps and a maximum voltage of 40 volts AC in off-state. In on-state, it has a current of 5 milliamps, at 159 volts AC, 65 hertz – 13 milliamps at 265 volts AC and 60 hertz.
