It is part of the 1756 ControlLogix series of I/O modules and is compatible with the 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH removable terminal blocks (RTBs). This module features two groups of eight inputs that operate at 12 to 24 VDC sources. The module’s nominal input voltage is 24 volts DC, and the supported input voltage range is between 10 and 30 volts DC. The input current draw for this module is rated at 110 milliamperes for 5.1-volt power input and 2 milliamperes for the nominal input voltage of 24 VDC. The total backplane power consumption is rated at 0.61 watts, and the module’s maximum power dissipation rating is 5.41 watts. Filter time is configurable between 0, 1, or 2 milliseconds. The module has a cycle update time ranging from 200 microseconds to 750 milliseconds. This module has been tested to withstand up to 250 volts of continuous isolation voltage with a basic insulation type between the inputs and backplane. Isolation is not provided between the individual inputs within a group. This Allen-Bradley module has a slot width of one and has an open-style enclosure. It offers reverse polarity protection and is rated for an input impedance of 3.2 kilo-ohms at 30 VDC. This input module has user-defined mechanical RTB keying. It can withstand operational shocks of 30 G and operational vibrations of 2 G.
