The 1756-L60M03SE is a legacy control module that belongs to the ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) product family. This controller module has an integrated memory of 750 kB with an input/output memory size of 478 kB. An integrated three axes SERCOS is also featured in it for motion control purposes. The RS-232 communication port is incorporated in the control module. Many protocols for communication purposes are supported by the module, such as the Ethernet/IP protocol. The DF1 full duplex/ half-duplex, DF1 radio modem, DH-485, Modbus via user-defined logic and barcode applications use ASCII that is supported by the integrated serial port. This controller supports up to 250 controller connections.

This controller module is complying with the IEC 61131-3 standard. It can utilize 5 standard programming languages that a PAC and PLC should support. It supports relay ladder, function block, sequential function chart, and structured text to comply with these standards. This controller is capable of integrated motion due to its compatibility with the input of encoder, LDT inputs, and SSI inputs. Stepper motion applications, servo controlling through DeviceNet, and analog/AC drives like variable frequency drives are also supported by this module. The 1756-L60M03SE module also supports standalone configuration with one (1) fixed rack and with a distributed application like input/output modules mounted in various racks; it accomplishes communication through the ControlLogix module. The Allen Bradley Flex I/O and Point I/O systems are also supported by the non-ControlLogix I/O module.
