The Allen-Bradley 1756-OF4 is a non-isolated ControlLogix output module. This module has 4 voltage or current outputs available with a current resolution of 15 bits across 21 milliamperes, 650 nanoamperes per bit for a voltage resolution of 16 bits across 10.5 Volts, 320 microvolts per bit. This Allen-Bradley 1756-OF4 ControlLogix Output Module requires a 20 pin Removable Terminal Block (RTB) housing before it can be installed within a compatible chassis. The compatible RTBs include the part numbers 1756-TBNH and 1756-TBSH. It is absolutely critical that the chassis and power supply are securely installed and grounded before undertaking the installation of Removable Terminal Block and this ControlLogix module.

Data formats available for this module are floating-point mode and integer mode. This module can also multicast fault data and standing to an owner-listening controller using the channel data. Its power consumption is 3.7 Watts of backplane power and its overvoltage protection is 24 Volts Direct Current. The module's circuit detection is simply for current output, but the output should be set to greater than 0.1 milliamps. It also features a short-circuit protection with a limit of no more than 21 milliamps. This Allen-Bradley 1756-OF4 ControlLogix Non-Isolated Output Module has a scan time of 12 milliseconds floating-point and 8 milliseconds integer, with a module error of 0.15% of the range for voltage and 0.3% of the range for current. Its settling time may be a smaller amount than 2 milliseconds to 95% of ultimate value with resistive loads. It also features a maximum power dissipation of 3.25 W (4 channel current) and a thermal dissipation of 10.91 BTU/hr.
