The Allen-Bradley product 1769-L36 ERMS is a compact GuardLogix controller. This controller is best suited for applications requiring safety integrity level SIL 3 and performance level PL. This device supports 32 controller tasks, with each task able to support up to 100 programs. The 1769-L36ERMS contains 16 motion axes, support for as many as 30 local input/output modules, and two Ethernet I/P ports. It is available with 3MB of standard memory and 1.5 MB of safety memory.

The Allen-Bradley brand product 1769-L36ERMS is a compact GuardLogix controller, and it is part of the 5370 GuardLogix controller platform. This controller device is able to perform Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) and also will help for the implementation of motion control over Ethernet I/P and integrated safety. This GuardLogix controller is available with 3 MB and 1.5 MB standard memory and safety memory, respectively. These integrated memories can be expanded with the help of external SD cards. This SD card can be used to configure the GuardLogix controller IP address. The 1769-L36ERMS has built-in interfaces like dual Ethernet communication ports with support for the transmission speed of 10/100 Mbps and linear, star, and DLR topologies. This device uses commercial Category 5 cables, or higher specification cables, depending on the controller or network installation. This GuardLogix controller device is capable of communicating with HMI. This 1769-L30ERMS GuardLogix controller device can be used with standard CompactLogix input/output modules. The controller also supports CIP safety protocol and socket interface for use with the devices not suitable with Ethernet input/output protocol. The Ethernet communication ports helps for communications up to 48 Ethernet nodes along with 30 local input/output nodes. This device can be programmable using IEC-61131-3 programming languages like relay ladder and Sequential Function Chart (SFC). This controller device has an EFT/B immunity rating of ±3 KV at 5 kH on communication ports.
