The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 compact voltage/current analogue module has 2 single-ended outputs each supports a voltage rating of 30 volts AC/30 volts DC with multiple output voltage and current ranges starting from -10 volts DC to 10 volts DC and from 0 milliamps to 20 milliamps respectively. The 1769-OF2 provides a resolution of 14 bits. This module converts and digitally records analogue data voltage or current which can be employed by controllers such as the CompactLogix controller or the MicroLogix 1500 controller. The 1769-OF2 module can be employed in several applications mainly in the industrial field. The 1769-OF2 module can be employed with a 1769-ADN DeviceNet adapter or with a 1769-AENTR Ethernet adapter. The 1769-OF2 module can be mounted on well-grounded panels using two mounting M4 or #8 screws or on either EN 50 022 - 35 x 7.5 or EN 50 022 - 35 x 15 DIN rails. The 1769-OF2 output module dissipates an electrical power of 2.63 watts. The 1769-OF2 module has an OK status LED indicator which indicates that this terminal has power, has run internal diagnostics, and can communicate over the network. This Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 voltage/current analogue output module can be supplied through 1769 Compact I/O power supplies such as 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, 1769-PB4 which are Class 2-rated power supplies that match the input transmitter specifications except when connected to a MicroLogix 1500 base with a current consumption of 120 milliamps. The normal impedance of the 1769-OF2 module is 15 ohms. This 1769-OF2 module supports shielded or twisted-pair Belden 8761 wire or equivalent wires. The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 module can be connected easily to either the controller or to an I/O module after or before installation. The data of the 1769-OF2 module can be configured as engineering parameters in milliamps or volts, percent of range, for PID, raw /proportional data for high resolution. The 1769-OF2 analogue module is intended for use in a mainly industrial environment that is clean and dry. This module weighs approximately 300 grams (0.65 pounds) while shipping. This Allen-Bradley module works properly at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit).
The 1769-OF2 is an analog output module by Allen-Bradley. The module has two (2) input channels. Each of these channels supports analog voltage and current signals. This module’s applications include providing an input source for signal isolators, splitters, data loggers, and panel meters. The 1769-OF2 can also be used for executing driving modulating applications. Voltage signal options include ± 10 volts, 0-10 volts, 0-5 volts, and 1-5 volts direct current (DC). Current signal ranges are 0-20 milliamperes and 4-20 milliamperes.
The module can detect an open wire condition within 10 milliseconds. This unit uses a Sigma-Delta Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). This controller has two (2) single-ended channels to provide data output. The module’s digital resolution across the full range is 14 bits unipolar. It has a step response time of 2.9 milliseconds. The conversion rate on this analog output module is 2.5 milliseconds. The module’s output may be sent to a PID controller in order to carry out manual and automatic control of analog control loops.
The 1769-OF2 features over-voltage protection as well as short-circuit protection of up to 21 milliamperes. This controller unit uses copper wire sized at 22 x 14 AWG. The module weighs 0.65 pounds, occupies one slot in the chassis, and has dimensions of 4.65 inches x 1.38 inches x 3.43 inches.
