The 1771-DB is a programmable logic controller communication module. This module was designed and produced by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. The languages used as this module's mode of operation is the BASIC programs and the C programs, while to enhance communication, it has a block-transfer with a PLC-5 processor that allows for a wholesome transfer of data between the memory of the module and the data table of the processor. This device has a wiring arm whose catalog number is 1771-WN. The response time of this device ranges from 1.3 milliseconds to 5 milliseconds. This product has two (2) user-defined, as well as eight (8) defined, indicators for the purposes of troubleshooting and/or indication. This communication module has a conformal coating which offers protection to the device against vibrations, shock, and even contamination. For communication purposes, this device is equipped with an RS-232-C port, an RS-485 port, a DH-485 port, and an PS-422-A port.
