The cable can also be used to connect to modules with the part numbers 1771-RT41 and 1771-RT44. These modules only require one 1771-NC6 cable for a 4 channel connection to an I/O module included in the 1771-N series. The cable includes protection against external signal and electrical noise in order to improve the quality of the signal that is being transmitted and prevent extraneous signals. One end of the cable has a connector that can be used to attach to a 1771-RTP directly. The other end can be connected to a 1756 removable terminal block (RTB) in order to create a connection to an I/O module included in the ControlLogix series.
