The 1771-OZL is an output module of the programmable logic controller series 5 (PLC 5) and has dry-reed relays that have airtight sealing thus preventing infiltration of oxygen or other gases. The output module has 8 output points that are subdivided into four groups, each group containing 2 output points. The device operates under an alternating voltage supply of 0 to 24 volts RMS and 0 to 24 volts direct current voltage supply at a current rating of 100 milliamperes, which is the maximum continuous current per module. This device is equipped with eight (8) normally open (NO) contacts. The current that is rated for back-plane is 420 milliamperes. The typical alternating current time delay when the device is on OFF state is 45 milliseconds (+/- 15 ms) and the typical alternating current with an ON status is 50 milliseconds. The 1771-OZL output module can be suitable used for low voltage and power applications. Exposure to currents that raises and falls over a short period of time from the normal rated value should be prevented. The device uses wiring arm with part number 1771-WD. The minimum power that is released by the device is 2 watts, whereas the maximum power is slightly above at 2.2 watts. The dissipation of heat by the device is rated at a minimum of 6.9 British thermal unit per hour (BTU/hr) and a maximum of 7.6 British thermal unit per hour (BTU/hr). The front plate contains eight (8) light emitting diode (LED) indicators that represent the state of the output relays. This device contains mercury.
