The Allen-Bradley 1771-VHSC is a PLC 5 High-Speed Counter Module. This Allen-Bradley 1771-VHSC PLC 5 High-Speed Counter Module has a total of 8 digital outputs that are separated into two groups which have 12 digital inputs, having three per counter with a 100-microsecond module update period. The 1771-VHSC includes four input channels which are configured for rate mode as well as counter mode, encoder mode, and period/rate mode. Among its other options, the Allen-Bradley 1771-VHSC PLC 5 High-Speed Counter Module has a fantastically useful programmable count feature which includes a range of values running from 0 to 999,999.
The 1771-VHSC also comes with two input types, they are used for the 2-phase encoder mode with selectable input frequencies which are 250 kilohertz as well as 500 kilohertz. These settings are available to change in the rate/period or rate/measurement mode. The unit can increase as far as 1 megahertz while in the single channel counter mode.
