Allen-Bradley designed and produced this DeviceNet PCI card which is installed on a host computer or workstation. The 1784-PCIDS card enables the host computer or workstation to connect to DeviceNet networks for monitoring and configuration, along with explicit messaging, as well as input or output scanning. This card is installed in an available PCI slot and it has a PCI rev. 2.1 mechanical form factor, with physical dimensions that measure 4.2 inches x 4.721 inches.

The Allen-Bradley 1784-PCIDS DeviceNet PCI card gets its power from the PCI bus. Furthermore, the DeviceNet network delivers five (5) volts at a maximum of six hundred and twenty-five (625) milliamperes, as well as twenty-four (24) volts direct current (DC) at a maximum of ninety (90) milliamperes to the host computer.
