Part number 1794-PS3 was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This product is a power supply module and it is a part of the FLEX I/O family of distributed I/O modules. This module provides backplane power to modules inserted in FLEX I/O assemblies. This module has a nominal supply voltage rating of 120 volts AC at 50 to 60 hertz, with an input current rating of 1.7 amperes.  The nominal supply voltage rating of this device is 230 volts AC at 50 to 60 hertz, with an input current rating of 1.1 amperes. The supply voltage range is 85 to 264 volts alternating current at 47 to 63 hertz. The input current is limited to 1.9 amperes, while the power supply can manage an inrush current of up to 40 amperes at 265 volts alternating current (AC). The power supply hold-up time is one of the 1794-PS3's features. Even if the module's input power dips for a half-cycle at 47 hertz and 85 volts AC, the power supply will be able to keep output within required limits at full load. The power output is rated as 72 watts. The 1794-PS3 can accommodate up to ten FLEX I/O adapters. The overcurrent protection rating is 3.2 amperes. The rated power dissipation is 12 watts, while the thermal dissipation is 41 BTU/hr. This power supply's maximum output current is determined by the mounting. It has a 3-ampere output current when installed horizontally and a 2.8-ampere output current in other configurations. The 1794-PS3 has dimensions of 3.7 inches x 2.7 inches x 3.4 inches.
