This Allen-Bradley 5069-IY4 is a universal analog input module. This module has four input channels that are configurable to be current, voltage, RTD, and/or thermocouple inputs. The voltage input range is ±10 volts, 0-10 volts, or 0-5 volts. The current input range is 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA. The RTD input can be a variety of types but must have a range of ±100 mV. Thermocouple input types can be B, C, D, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, and T sensors.

The Allen-Bradley 5069-IY4 is a universal analog input module that belongs to the Compact 5000 input/output modules series. This analog module features four differential input channels that will be suitable for a variety of input signals such as voltage, current, RTD, and thermocouple signals and sensors. While configuring for the voltage, this module is best suited for the range of ±10 volts, 0 to10 volts, and 0 to 5 volts DC. While configuring for millivolt input, the range of acceptable input is +/- 100 mV. Similarly, while setting an acceptable current input, this 5069-IY4 module is compatible for 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA input signals. For resistance input configuration, this module accommodates 1 to 500, 2 to 1000, 4 to 2000, and 8 to 4000 resistive signals. This 5069-IY4 analog input device can be configured with a resistance temperature detector (RTD) and thermocouple sensors. RTD input types includes 100, 200, 500, and 1000 platinum. Alpha =385; 100, 200, 500, 1000 platinum alpha =3917 and for thermocouple sensors, this module is compatible with Thermocouple type B, C, D, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, and T. This 5069-IY4 analog device is equipped with Sigma-Delta analog for digital converter circuit. Data is converted and then saved in IEEE 32-bit floating-point format. This module has a scan time of 625 µs per channel and 2.5 ms per group. The analog input module also features an overcurrent and overvoltage protection rating of ± 30 mA and ± 30 VDC, respectively.
