Designed and manufactured by ProSoft Technology, product number MVI46-PDPMV1 is a DP-V1 Master Network Interface Module. This module is used as a communication interface for SLC processors manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This module is able to exchange data with the SLC processors by incorporating backplane technology into its design infrastructure. The ProSoft Technology MVI46-PDPMV1 acts as an I/O module between the PROFIBUS network and the SLC processor. This device is compatible with various Bulletin 1746 backplanes. This module utilizes ladder logic when transferring data between itself and a processor. The ProSoft Technology MVI46-PDPMV1 DP-V1 is equipped with several LED, or light emitting diode, status indicators. These LEDs include a module status indicator, a backplane transfer status indicator, an application status indicator, and a serial activity and error LED status indicator. This ProSoft Technology module is also compatible with SLC 5/02 M0/M1 capable processors or newer. This device can be attached to an SLC chassis. This module only takes up one (1) slot on said chassis. The rated backplane current load of this module is 800 milliamperes at 5 volts. When this device is being operated, it is important that the temperature of the surrounding area ranges from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. Additionally, if this module is not being operated, or needs to be stored, the temperature of the surrounding area should range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the relative humidity levels suitable for this device range from 5% to 95% non-condensing. The ProSoft MVI46-PDPMV1 DP-V1 Master Network Interface Module can withstand an operational shock rated up to 30 G, as well as a non-operational shock rated up to 50 G.
