The SK-R1-MCB1-PF755, which was manufactured by Allen Bradley, is a control board. This control board is to be installed inside the PowerFlex 755 drive. It belongs to the family of spare parts that are commonly used in variable frequency drives. The PowerFlex 755 drives have an open enclosure. Therefore special care has to be taken during the installation process. The environment should be clean and free from all types of impurities. Moreover, proper ventilation should be present at all sides so that the drive doesn’t heat up. Heating up of the drive causes damage to the drive and the surroundings. One drive requires one control board for proper operation. This board is carefully installed inside the drive following all installation instructions and guidelines provided. For installation, a properly trained person should be present because the drive has to be completely disconnected from the power to perform the installation process. All safety precautions have to be taken and it should be made sure that protective clothing and equipment are used during this process. This is important for overall safety. This board can be replaced with a new board if any damage or failure of the board occurs. One of the important tools required during the installation process is socket wrench and wrench extension. The temperature during operation should be less than 40 degrees Celsius. In extreme environments, the installation cannot take place and external equipment for cooling the surrounding may be used. These boards have multiple features and are used widely for different types of industrial applications.
