The IC660EBA020 is an analog block electronic assembly for I/O systems by Genius. The assembly is designed by GE Fanuc and is used for performing all the block’s operations like communications, computation, data processing, and data storage. All the I/O blocks require terminal assembly and an electronic assembly like the IC660EBA020. All this makes the complete Genius block I/O system. The module IC660EBA020 provides a base for the field side wiring including all the connections with field input devices, bus cables, and handheld monitors. This IC660EBA020 module houses the EEPROM which stores all the block’s configuration.
The analog block electronic assembly is a part of a 24- or 48-Volts DC voltage analog I/O block with two (2) independent output channels and four (4) input channels. Each circuit channel can accept signals in the following ranges of 0 to 10 Volts DC, -5 to +5 Volts DC, -10 to +10 Volts DC, 0 to 5 Volts DC, or 4 to 20 milliamperes and 1 to 5 Volts DC. These ranges of signal offer the flexibility of use with a wide range of analog I/O devices. The IC660EBA020 electronic assembly module supports software configuration and provides advanced diagnostic features. The configurable diagnostics and control features include independent scaling for I/O signals, 1024 milliseconds of adjustable filter time, enabling and disabling fault reporting to the host controller, normal analog input operation mode, detection of high/low input alarm, open-wire detection, and alarm status selection. The block electronic assembly is installed on the terminal assembly and can be easily removed without configuring the whole block.
