The IC694APU300 is a counter module for high-speed operations. It is primarily associated with the sensing of the number of inputs, processing count information of the inputs, and controlling the output without interference or communicating to the CPU. This output module is mainly configured to include one complex counter, two identical and autonomous complex counter specialists, and four identical simple counters. It mainly utilizes discrete input memory of 16 bits analog, input memory of 15 words, and discrete output memory of 16 bits of the CPU memory allotment. The presence of a blue label implies the module is a low voltage module. LED indicators represent module ok status and configuration status.
The IC694APU300 module provides nearly two modes of operation in an RX3i CPU system that is classic and enhanced. Enhanced mode as it relates to module operation delivers 32 bit data statistic diagnostic information to the CPU, while in classic mode 16 bits of diagnostic information on the module operation is delivered to the CPU. The high-speed counter module is comprised of four positive logic output units and positive logic input units that deliver input voltage of 5V DC. +24 Volt DC isolated output of power supply is the power source for input and output devices. The power consumption rate is 250 milliamperes from 5 Volt bus on the backplane. Other characteristics include internal module diagnosis capability, counts per time base register for every counter, and an easily removable terminal board for field wiring purposes. The module can be installed in any position of I/O slot in an RX3i CPU system.
