The IC694DSM324 is a Motion Controller Module from GE Fanuc Automation. This multi-axis motion controller module can support two different modes: follower control loop disabled or standard mode, and follower control loop enabled or follower mode. It includes an electronic CAM functionality, switch inputs for the servo axis, and an analog I/O port for connecting the module with a computer. For programming and configuration, the module uses a single point of connection and the firmware is saved in flash memory and can be updated using subroutines. It has non-volatile storage that can store up to ten (10) programs and forty (40) subroutines. The module also includes a powerful set of motion program instructions that can be used by up to 4 axes.
The IC694DSM324 includes eight (8) LED indicators to display the working status of the module. The STATUS LED, when ON, indicates that the module is working properly. If the STATUS LED is OFF, it indicates that either the module is non-functional or has an error. During the programming and configuring mode, the CONFIG LED is ON. FSSB LED turns ON when FSSB communication is established, while it blinks during the connection set up. The axis-enabled LED indicators are ON when the 1 to 4 axis of the module are enabled. The FSSB connectors of the module allow fiber connections to servo amplifiers to exchange the commands and instructions and for diagnostics. The module also includes a protection cap to avoid damages. The RJ11 COMM port of the module can be used to download the firmware updates. It has two power ports for 5 Volts DC and 24 Volts DC power. The IC694DSM324 needs to be connected to the frame ground using the ground terminal. The grounding resistance of the module should not be more than 100 ohms.
