The IC694PSK001 is a power synchronization and measurement kit with a PSM module, terminal assembly, and two interface cables. A standard IC-694 module is mounted in an RX-3i rack for monitoring of two independent three-phase power grids. This IC694PSK001 module gives digital signal processing (DSP) capability to the PSM system. The terminal assembly is a panel equipped component that offers an interface between the PSM module and input transformers. The interface cables provide Grid 1 and Grid 2 connections between PSM module and terminal assembly. This PSM system utilizes standard and user-supplied current transformers (CT) and potential transformers (PT) as its inputs. It accurately computes and measures root mean squared (RMS) voltage and RMS current, power, frequency, and power factor (PF).
This IC694PSK001 system also offers two isolated relays that can close in case of a voltage-phase relationship between two supervised grids that are within particular ANSI 25 limits supplied by the RX-3i host-controller. These contacts can be used for a variety of functions like lamp duty, pilot duty loads, and general purpose. The output of two isolated relay contacts is 125 VAC /125 VDC maximum at 1 Ampere for general purpose and lamp duty. The output is 125 VAC/125 VDC maximum at 0.35 Amperes for pilot duty. The voltage and current ratings for such loads are offered in PAC systems RX-3i PSM systems User manual. The PSM system can also provide a cable supervision and monitoring function that shows correct installation of cables linking the PSM module and terminal assembly. This IC694PSK001 system can be used for a variety of applications such as supervision of energy consumption, load shedding, defect scrutinizing, and generator control features.
