GE Fanuc designed and manufactured the IC695ACC403 module as an energy pack. This product is a member of the RX3i PacSystem series of GE Fanuc products. The IC695ACC403 energy pack operates synchronously with a controller to retain user memory within the controller in the event of a power interruption or fluctuation. In the case of a power outage, this energy pack has the capability to keep the electricity running until the controller finishes writing the contents of user memory to non-volatile memory. If the controller is set to power on from RAM, user memory can be recovered when the system power is restored. Moreover, the IC695ACC403 can also be installed on a standard DIN rail EN50022, and it readily slots into the DIN rail, thus no tools are required for installation. This energy pack is designed to be installed next to the controller and linked to it through the provided wire. Furthermore, users must ensure that they follow every instruction given in the PacSystems controllers handbook before they connect the input power. When installed, this GE Fanuc device requires a minimum clearance of 25.4 millimeters, or one inch, and it must be on all four (4) sides of the drive. Operators must keep in mind that it is critical to ground the energy pack appropriately. The GE Fanuc IC695ACC403 is equipped with three (3) light emitting diode (LED) indicators. The LED indicators consist of IN, STAT, and OUT. Each of the indicators can light up solid or be blink with the colors green and red. The STAT indicator, however, can also blink in an amber color.
