The IC695ALG412 is a PACSystems RX3i Thermocouple Input module that is manufactured by GE Fanuc Emerson. It supplies 20 isolated differential thermocouple input channels and provides a 10 decibel noise rejection improvement over the ALG312 Thermocouple Input module. The IC695ALG412 has many features, including its software configurability, thermocouple linearization based on ITS-90, and support of hot removal and insertion. It also offers 32-bit IEEE floating point or 16 bit integer input data format selectable per channel, temperature units selectable in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit, user scaling, programmable notch filter from 2.3 to 28 Hertz per channel, and wire-off (open circuit) condition support for all inputs. The IC695ALG412 requires an external power source of isolated +24 Volts DC and the source must be connected using the TB1 connected located on the left side of the RX3i Backplane.
Specifications for the IC695ALG412 include 12 individually isolated channels, a resolution of 11.5 to 16 bits, and an integration time for channels that is configurable between 15 and 120 milliseconds. Measurement units used for the IC695ALG412 are degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit and Voltage. This module has a CJC measurement resolution of 0.01 degree (Celsius or Fahrenheit) for temperatures between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius with a CJC temperature accuracy of +/- 1.5 degrees Celsius typical and +/- 3.0 degrees Celsius maximum (when using IC695ACC600A/B). Channel-to-channel crosstalk is 70 decibels minimum and common mode rejection is 110 decibels for all filters, 50/60 Hertz. It has a backplane requirement of 400 milliamperes at 3.3 Volts and 425 milliamperes at 5.0 Volts.
The GE Fanuc IC695ALG412 PACSystem RX3i Module comes with a resolution of 32 bit IEEE floating point. The input data format required by this module is (in 32-bit field) 16-bit integer. This module belongs to the analog input module series PACSystem RX3i from Allen-Bradley. There are a total of twelve (12) isolated differential input channels. These are compatible with the following millivolt signal ±150mV or ±50mV. Furthermore, it is compatible with the following Thermocouple instrument types - R, K, S, E, J, B, N, T, C. Using the PCI Bus, the IC695ALG412 GE Fanuc PACSystem RX3i Module conveniently attaches itself to the RX3i universal backplane. This module comes equipped with several self-diagnostic features such as open wire, high positive/negative rate of change, high-high, low, low-low channel, and short circuit diagnostics. The built-in channel-to-channel continuous isolation rating on this module is 250 volts alternate current. For upgraded noise rejection, this module comes with a 10 dB rating. The input impedance on this module is >=500k ohm. The resolution on this module is 32-bit IEEE floating-point. The IC695ALG412 GE Fanuc RX3i PACSystem module comes with circuitry that supports Sigma-Delta analog to digital converter type.
The GE Fanuc IC695ALG412 RX3i PACSystem module requires the use of removable terminal blocks (RTB). The compatible removable terminal blocks for this module are IC694TBSx32, IC694TBBx32, or IC694TBC032. 425 milliamperes at 5 volts and 400 milliamperes at 3.3 volts are this device's current rating. 3.3 volts and 400 milliamperes or 5 volts and 425 milliamperes is the internal power rating on this module. The update rate on this module is 15 milliseconds to 120 milliseconds.
