The IC695ALG608 is a Non-Isolated, Differential Analog Voltage/Current Input module manufactured by GE Fanuc for the Rx3i Series of CPUs. This IC695ALG608 module provides four (4) differential and eight (8) single-ended input channels. The analog input channels of the module can be configured for – current: 0 to 20 milliamperes, 4 to 20 milliamperes, and +/- 20 milliamperes, while for voltage, 0 to 10 Volts, +/- 10 Volts, +/-5 Volts, and 1 to 5 Volts. The IC695ALG608 can be used with the IC694TBB032 (box style), IC694TBB132 (Extended box style), IC694TBS032 (spring style), and IC694TBS132 (Extended spring style) terminal blocks. These extended terminal blocks provide the required extra shroud depth for shielded wiring. Terminal blocks can be separately ordered according to the requirement. These modules need to be located in an Rx3i Universal Backplane. The module requires a Rx3i CPU that has a 3.0 or higher firmware version. For configuration, use Machine Edition version 5.0 SP3 Logic Developer Programmable Logic Control.
The main features of the IC695ALG608 module include Full autocalibration, onboard error checking feature, completely configurable using the software, no need to use module jumpers for configuring, module fault reporting, and autocalibration at startup. It also has an open circuit detection for all the voltages and 4 to 20 milliamperes inputs. For alarm detection, the module has a high alarm, low alarm, high-high, and low-low alarm detection and reporting selection per channel. The IC695ALG608 module supports diagnostic point fault contacts in the program. For future upgrades, the module also has flash memory. It also provides the user with the detection of terminal block removal and insertion.
