The IC693CBL311 is an input/output interface cable. This cable belongs to the Series 90-30 product line. It was designed and manufactured by Emerson - GE Fanuc. The primary use of this cable is for connection between machines and drives with PowerMate APM modules. The interface cable assembly consists of a cable, an input/output connector with 24 pins, and a D-type terminal block connector that has 24 pins. The PowerMate APM modules have two male connectors each with 24 pins that are found in the front section. During installation and assembly, two (2) input/output interface cables are normally required to be able to effectively connect the machines and drives to the PowerMate APM module. The first cable, with the part number IC693CBL319, normally has a length of 3 feet (1 meter), and the second cable, with the part number IC693CBL311, is 10 feet (3 meters) long. For easy connection to the drive and machine, short input/output interface cables are normally used for connection between the modules and the terminal block. It is possible to shorten the cables to the required length.

Reaction to or the triggering of unwanted electrical signals or noises by the logic circuit of the PowerMate APM module is greatly reduced by the IC693CBL311 input/output interface cable. The wiring used for conducting current is a 28 American Wire Gauge (AWG) size wire that is shielded by a normal insulating material and then enclosed in a cable housing. This also protects the handler against electric shock when in use. The approximate weight of this input/output interface cable is 2.0 pounds.
