The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693CHS399 is a 5-slot remote baseplate that contains a female twenty-five D-type pin connector which is installed at the right side end to link other baseplates. The device can be employed either as local chassis for PLCs or to extend I/O to other places that shouldn’t be more than 213 meters (700 feet). This remote baseplate permits operators to add I/O modules of the PLC and improving the control using a single processor. The baseplate can be employed for PLC systems with I/O which are near to the local chassis to process and send data over very long distances. The remote baseplate consumes a current of 480 milliamperes at a baseplate voltage of 5 Volts DC. The IC693CHS399 has a width of 26.49 centimeters (10.43 inches), a height of 13 centimeters (5.12 inches), and a depth of 14.2 centimeters (5.59 inches).

The IC693CHS399 contains the main circuit board, a metal wall for mounting, and a plastic enclosure.
