The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693CMM311 is considered as a communication coprocessor module (CMM) that offers the high-efficiency coprocessor with all Series 90-30 modular CPUs. The module supports many communication protocols such as the SNP, GE CCM, the RTU (Modbus) slave protocol. This CMM includes two serial communication ports where Port 1 can be employed for RS-232 applications and Port 2 can be employed for either RS-485 or RS-232 applications. The device is easy to use with a default configuration and a fully programmable module through either the VersaPro or the Logicmaster 90-30 software. The serial ports are connected to a single connector of this module and this module is offered with an IC693CBL305 Wye wire to separate and isolate the two ports to make the wiring process much easier.

The IC693CMM311 includes three (3) LED indicators on the faceplate to show the current status of this module. This communication coprocessor module has a restart push button on the front side to restart the module. The combined serial port is also located on the faceplate. Four (4) CMMs can be employed with a 331 or higher CPU system. This module draws a current rating of 400 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 Volts DC. This communication coprocessor module is compatible with modular CPUs of Series 90-30 and can be employed in many industrial applications. The communication coprocessor module weighs approximately 450 grams (0.99 pounds) while shipping and operates at zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.
