An Ethernet interface module, the IC693CMM321 is used to link Series 90-30 programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to an Ethernet LAN. This is accomplished with the use of an external transceiver and an AAUI cable. This interface includes client-server functionality. This interface lets the user connect their PLC to a network, initiate data transfer, and communicate with several devices from different manufacturers at the same time. Furthermore, diagnostic tools may be used to confirm that the system is functioning properly. This module consists of one (1) RS-232, RJ11 serial port that serves as a station manager, one (1) RS-485, 15-pin, D-type serial port that serves as a software loader, and one (1) AAUI port that serves as a network port for connecting the module to an Ethernet network. On the top of the board, there are four (4) LED's, and below them is a restart push button. OK, LAN, SER, and STAT are the LEDs. They can exist in one of four states. They'll either be on, off, flashing slowly, or flashing quickly. These depict the current state & traffic at different times. They also show the condition of the interface as a whole. This device requires a CPU version of 6.5 or above to work properly. Configuration may be done with a variety of programming applications. Control version 2.01 or higher, Logic-master 90 30 version 6.01 or higher, and Versa-Pro version 1.0 or higher are some of the most prevalent versions. All of these programs are installed on a PC. The default MAC address is mounted on the plastic housing's outside surface.
