The IC693CPU321 CPU baseplate is a ten-slot I/O baseplate with an integrated CPU designed for use with the Series 90-30 PLC system from GE Fanuc. The IC693CPU321 baseplate is part of the Series 90-30 embedded CPU baseplate group and is designed to facilitate the installation of PLCs at a cheap cost. The IC693CPU321 CPU baseplate is comprised of a CPU and integrated memory circuit chips (RAM, EPROM, and EEPROM), all of which are securely soldered to the baseplate's backplane circuit. Because the IC693CPU321 CPU baseplate lacks an extension connection, it cannot be used with expansion or remote racks. It supports a limit of ten I/O modules and is thus incompatible with applications and systems that require more than ten I/O modules. The IC693CPU321 baseplate is equipped with a 10-Megahertz 80188 processor that controls the system and executes all non-Boolean operations at a Milliseconds per Kilobit (ms/K) rate.
The IC693CPU321 CPU baseplate can accommodate discrete inputs and outputs: max. 320, or analog inputs: 64 and analog outputs: 32. The IC693CPU321 CPU baseplate includes one integrated RS-485 15-pin D-type female connector port on the power supply for connecting to a personal computer running GE Fanuc Windows-based PLC software program, a GE Fanuc handheld programmer, or other serial devices. Additionally, It has a communication unit for serial SNP, RTU, LAN-Genius, Ethernet SRTP, Ethernet Modbus TCP, Profibus-DP, and DeviceNet. The IC693CPU321 baseplate enables software configuration through the DOS-based LogicMaster, the Windows-based Versa-Pro, and the Proficy Logic Developer (Machine Edition) applications. The IC693CPU321 CPU baseplate has a 12-KB battery-backed user logical memory for application storage and a maximum backplane current consumption of 430 milliamps at 5 Volts DC.
