The IC693CPU352 is a single slot Series 90-30 CPU module from GE Fanuc Automation. The module functions as the center of the Series 90-30 PLC systems. The module has a total of eight (8) baseplates that includes one baseplate for the CPU and the remaining seven (7) for remote and expansion. The module requires a power supply with a load requirement of 890 milliamperes from a +5 Volts DC supply. The processor type of the module is 8038EX with 25 Megahertz of processing speed. The optimum operating temperature of the CPU is between zero (0) and 60 degrees Celsius. The typical scanning rate of the system is 0.22 milliseconds for every 1K logic to Boolean contacts. In a Series 90-30 PLC, the module is installed in a special CPU baseplate.

The Series 90-30 CPU module includes 3 serial ports for communication and also supports protocols like SNP slave protocol, RTU slave protocol, and SNPX slave protocol. During its operation, the CPU will dissipate about 4.55 Watts of heat. Options modules can be connected with the IC693CPU352 CPU allowing it to communicate through different networks. The option modules that can be connected with the module includes Ethernet, Profibus, GBC, GCM+, FIP, and multi-drop LAN modules. The module also has a shield ground connector on the bottom that provides extra protection to the CPU system. The operating modes supported by the CPU module are Run mode and Stop mode. The users can select either of the two (2) modes of their choice using the key switch. The available storage memory types of the module are RAM and Flash memory. The IC693CPU352 CPU module supports Logicmaster configuration and programming software.
