The module IC693DSM302 is a motion Mate DSM302 developed by GE Fanuc and is also known as a motion controller. The module can work in tandem with a 90-30 Series PLC. It is designed to solve complex logic and communication functions. This two-axis motion controller module can control digital servos and can also control servos that require analog input such as GE Fanuc SL Series Servos. Within the system, there is a Digital Signal Processor installed that provides options for vector controlling GE Fanuc AC servos. The module can enhance the accuracy of tracking through its Velocity Feed forward and Position Error Integration function. The high-performance Motion controller IC693DSM302 module has an amazing block processing speed of less than 5 milliseconds.
It can transfer data between DSM302 and PLC without any user programming and also allows easy I/O connections through terminal blocks and factory cables. The module has non-volatile memory of 10 programs and 40 subroutines. Moreover, the IC693DSM302 includes a derail port for the users to connect their programming devices. Another function of the serial port is to enable the users to perform soft upgrades to the inbuilt firmware. The firmware is stored in the flash memory of the module. It includes generic programming that uses command parameters as operands for Move, Dwell, Velocity, and Acceleration commands. IC693DSM302 is configured with several Windows or MS-DOS configuration software.
