The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693DSM314 is a high-efficiency servo motion controller that can control four (4) servo axis. The DSM314 supports either the digital mode to control GE digital servos or the analog mode to monitor analogue servos. The IC693DSM314 provides a quadrature encoder for follower master axis. The IC693DSM314 can be used in many analogs, digital, and stepper motion applications. The DSM314 includes a DSP to control GE servos and offers a block processing time less than 5 milliseconds. The IC693DSM314 has five (5) status LED indicators on the front side. The IC693DSM314 provides a simple instruction set for either single or multi-axis motion program with synchronized block start. The DSM314 can be programmed and configured with VersaPro software. The IC693DSM314 supports ten (10) programs and forty (40) subroutines which can be loaded through the PLC backplane.
The IC693DSM314 has a user memory of fifteen (15) kilobytes to store user data and flash memory to save CPU firmware. The DSM314 has four (4) connectors of 36-pin which are located at the front side of the controller. The IC693DSM314 requires a current of 1.3 Amperes at a voltage rating of 5 Volts DC. This controller has a front panel COMM port to upgrade its firmware. The DSM314 provides two-position capture strobe inputs and captures the axis position in less than 20 microseconds. The IC693DSM314 offers a resolution of 13-bit analog output which can be either configured by PLC or employed as servo tuning controller. The IC693DSM314 automatically sends data between PLC tables and this controller without user programming. This controller operates at zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.
