The GE Fanuc IC697ACC744 Rack Fan Assembly is a cooling fan assembly with three fans. This arrangement can be put on a 9-slot rack to alleviate heat issues typical in industrial environments. The IC697ACC744 Rack Fan Assembly is sold as a kit that includes the fan unit, 8 screws, and extra mounting brackets for connecting the assembly to previous rack models. The 24 volts DC rack assembly connection is done by connecting the 24 AWG leads situated on each fan in parallel with the positive lead of the power source, as well as grounding all the negative leads. The cooling fan assembly's retainer and guard are composed of UL94V-0 plastic, and the filter is polyurethane foam with a PPI of 30. To ensure that the fans are running when the PLC is in active mode, the IC697 PLC and the rack cooling fans must share the same power source. It includes a polyurethane filter and an easily removable plastic retainer. The filter has a low airflow resistance, allowing it to function well in a wide range of applications.

The IC697ACC744 Rack Fan Assembly is intended for use with both older and newer PLC racks. It serves as the principal tool of the enclosure's thermal management system. This cooling fan arrangement gives direct cooling and circulation while also dissipating heat generated within the enclosure.
