Part number IC697BEM733 is a genius remote I/O scanner that belongs to GE Fanuc's Series 90-70 line of products. This scanner links the I/O IC697 modules to other IC66 bus modules. This IC697BEM733 I/O scanner module can be set up on a remote IC697 rack. One of the characteristics is that this device may be located at a distance of up to 2275 meters, or 7500 feet, from the controller. Along with analog and discrete I/O modules, this I/O scanner also supports ADS, PCM, and more. The IC697BEM733 can process as much as 128 bytes of I/O data for every remote drop. This I/O scanner module can be paired with other remote I/O scanner modules.

Up to eight (8) racks can be connected by a bus transmitter and receiver in a distant drop. Nine (9)-slot or five (5)-slot racks can be used for this I/O scanner. The IC697BEM733 module can host a wide array of I/O data (both discrete and analog). Its capabilities are not limited by the total number of racks located on the drop. An isolated drop can include any of the IC697 discrete, analog, or expander analog modules. The bus transmitter, bus receiver, ADS, and PCM modules can all be stored in a remote drop. In an isolated drop, however, all I/O interrupts modules, communications modules, bus controllers, or other modules that rely on instructions (COMREQ) are prohibited. The IC697BEM733 module is manufactured for use in the IC697 PLC system. However, this I/O scanner can also be used as a host by any computer or PLC that can communicate over a bus (IC66).
